Is that a porcelanosa tile? Called cubica? 300x1000

This maybe an old thread but I have just installed black and white Cubica rectified tiles and am having problems getting the grout flush with the tile edge to hide the ceramic biscuit back. Not a major visual problem on the white as the tile is a white'ish ceramic but very annoying on the black.

I guess the only way is to rake it out and have another go at it, but I'm not sure what I can do differently to keep more product in the joint, I left it late to clean up as it was !

I'm using Ultra grout (what a absolute pain the charcoal is to clean up)

On the white I'm thinking of using tile / grout sealer to prevent moisture getting into the tile - is this ok ?

As a quick fix on the black could a permanent marker be used and then seal (I know its a bit of a bodge but ......)

Thanks

Paul

Fitted a load of cheap crap metros a couple of weeks ago with the same issue.
Imo there's not much you can do.... Thankfully I never supplied the tile and the client never noticed anything.... It was more me and the fact I had to leave it like that...
Since then I have been playing around with a few spare tiles..... Yes it bugged me that much...... It did find leaving a big grout line helped the issue slightly..

Are you using a washboy or just a hand sponge. I find that on Cubica the washboy sponge tends to follow the profile of the tile better than the hand sponge and therefore does not expose the biscuit.

Hand sponge ! Until today I didn't know what a washboy was.
