Hi all,
I've been busy for a while and neglected this site a bit, sorry, so just popping by and posting some photos of what ive been up to.

Started an extension on the house & a double garage. Cleared the site, dug the founds and poured the concrete all myself (so proud). See photos. Builder should be here within the week to start the considerable underbuild!

Meanwhile ive been tiling away in my sisters house getting the two bathrooms done up ready to sell. Plus getting cattle ready for the show season coming up rapidly!

But im off to New York tomorrow morning to see the wife as she is working there. Worse places to be i suppose!

Catch ya in a week or so.

Nope, the step was tiles back when i was a boy. Its actually OK except for the outside row, it was added on at a later date and my dad did it. If ever there was proof why pro's are needed!

Skint, im near broke paying for it all!!

Coloured Render.jpgClean up.jpgScratch coat.jpgSun room.jpgAfter 1.jpgGarage roof on.jpg

Hi again folks, just updating an old thread to show what ive been up to at home with the house. The main building work is now done. I was pretty disgusted at the state of the old roof tiles against the new roof, so I sprayed the alge, powerhosed it down and applied 2 coasts of matching roof paint. Happy now. Just finishing off the coloured render to the whole house. New front door as well. Alot more to do next year with the new kitchen and bathroom, solar pannels and pressurised system. We are getting there and used the garage for the first time last night!! Hope everyones well!

great to have you back on davy

Davy, thanks for the pictures. Do you have any during construction? I enjoy seeing the construction methods used over on your side of the world.

Couple more in my album on my profile.

Davy, in the picture of the garage under construction...there's a stack of solid block sitting in front of the garage and still banded together. Where do those block get used?

Used in the main structure of the garage Rob. Double cavity wall with 4" block. I blew insulation into the cavity as well.
