I finished the last bit of grouting in a conservatory that belongs to a family member. I hadn't even got tools when i started the job so I've got a few tools again now. 17 meters of porcelain in two colours with dark on the outside and then light in the centre with custom cut triangles out of each colour to create a border. Very neat layout design, wish i had pictures.

It had underfloor heating @ 200 watts per meter and 6mm insulation board so it used a fair amount of adhesive.

Just thought I'd say like 😀

Dan,
CONGRATULATIONS.
Must be a buzz getting a nice sized job under your belt. I cant wait, but unfortanatly i keep getting mates that want it done for nothing. Friends seem to think that because i work full time in security that im already earning enough and that im being greedy for asking a decent price to do a job. I do tell them to get another quote and i'll see what i can do, but they struggle to find a tiler that is available to start the job yesterday. Friends - -who would have them?????

Cheers Trotter. Stick at it matey. just don't loose on a job and you'll be busy soon enough.

Postie. This was just a one off. I hadn't laid a tile fora few years and probably wont for another few. It was nice to see I can still tile, I suppose it's like riding a bike in that respect.

I used mapei adhesives and SLC's though which i'd never actuall tiled with, only used mapei for courses before this floor. Nice stuff which i'd use again and their SLC is 6 times cheaper than BAL's and is better I'd say.

Dan back on the tools that'll be the day,he has it too cushy with his underfloor heating and his websites.
Knees hurting a bit now after being back on them for the first time in ages mate?

They were bleeding even with knee pads on and jeans. I did it due to having more time after wrapping up the ufh business, the web is the way forward for me. It was nice to get mucky for a couple of days though and I enjoyed most of it.
