What are the technical reasons you cannot use bal flexbone matting, curious to know.
I didn't say that it was @3_fall who said that. It's because he's not technically good , that is not true . It is because the tiles he fits are usually thin tiles and are not suited to a cavity type membrane . He will correct me on this if I'm wrong which I probably am .
Actually he is technically very good .
Also you should get in the habit of reading technical data sheets whenever you use anything in a certain application for the first time and don't use it unless it specifically says you can and if you are unsure contact their technical helpline and get it in writing .

Jerry is correct, I should have explained more clearly.
I cannot use flexbone because of the type of work I do.
They will not guarantee it’s performance with the material I use, which is 6mm and under.
And no Jerry, you’re not incorrect mate. ;)
And Jerry is also correct on proper research, yes we can guide you in here as best we can, but ultimately, to ensure you have the correct products you must check with the manufacturer and attempt to get a method statement direct from them.
Ultimately, they honour the warranty, we don’t.
This forum is advisory only, we do not have the legal backing to state what is, and what is not correct.
Even tho we may have the experience to know better, all we can do is advise with the best of our ability, no more I’m afraid.

Hi , if you were to use bal flexbone matting you can commence immediately, alternatively bal fast track green screed.
Just a point to note, you can’t use what was once BAL now Dunlop green screed adhesive with underfloor heating as a fast track solution.
