Hi guys, need an adviced, have searched a whole net, but could not find a required info.so thought that you fellas may help.I am aware that you can't use wall adhesive for floors, but can you use floor adhesive for plasterboarded walls? My mate done a massive house and got few bags left over of bal single part fastflex adhesive, so i could potentially get it for pint or two.:drool5:
Thanks

You supply a couple of bags of single part flex.........and keep the Bal 2 part for a more suitable job.

but you can use wall adhesive on floors ! sorry just being pedantic. keep the fastflex for a floor job !

But why would you??

He asked if it is possible to use the product on walls, the answer is yes it can be used on walls. He is basically going to get it for near enough free and by the sounds of it isn't a tiler so saving it wouldn't be of any use? If it's cheap/free and correct for the job and will never need it for anything else why not? :8:

Not sure about the "correct for the job" statement. Never used fast flex on a wall before, let alone a plasterboard wall.......if it goes belly up, and needed to come off, so would have the plasterboard I would imagine.

I can get flour for next to nothing......wouldn't tile a wall with it though.

Use the correct adhesive for the job, not some freebie.

Because flour isn't suitable for floors or walls, obviously. The description for the product in question is suitable for walls and floors regardless if it is a bit extreme for walls. But if you think BAL have described the product incorrectly and is not suitable for walls you should contact them

good luck Kenis I won't be entertaining this anymore **yawn**

Im confused. ....is this the same thread with loads of post deleated...or is it a new thread.....says it was posted 3 days ago so im guessing the old thread but why the deleated post?

Im confused ??
Are we moaning about a lad using addy which is more thst suitable for wall tiling and also moaning about how good it will stick it to plasterboard ??
Jesus christ, how about the easy answer instead of giving him the walkabout.
Easy answer = YES [emoji41][emoji8]

I much appreciate for everyone's answers and suggestions wherever they are negative or positive.I don't really care if pb gets damage when someone tries to take them tiles off in 15-20 years time.or adhesive being to good/expensive for the wall job.I'm getting it completely for nothing.I'm not a tiler, and I'm not gonna be using that addy anywhere else.all I wanted to know that tiles won't slip or come off while curing and if they are strong enough to hold the large porcelain tile in vertical position when is dry😉

"Widler" you are a top man with your answer.

Any posts you have made will need to be moderated first because of your low post count, thats probably why your posts are not visible.

If they are large porcelain then you maybe pushing the weight limit on plasterboard.
