hi guys, just wondering what others are charging for laying ufh , at the moment i am charging £10 extra per 2m(matt ufh systems) dont get to do them that often to be honest( only done 2 this year so far) the last job i charged an extra £10 per 2m for laying 15, 2m insulation boards and the ufh matt, i worked the £10 out because it took me a day so gave me an extra £150, which to me is a good day rate,(no electrics they got a sparky in) any replies appreciated, cheers Rav

I charge day rate plus I bring my own sparkie, he is part p registered and we have worked together for years, he charges from £60 upwards. I tend to use cable kits because they are better than matts in my view, I use a glue gun to stick them down, looks very neat and professional when done, all the cable is very straight and where it is supposed to be, as a rule If I can do it in a day then its £150 plus materials, I try to supply the kit if possible because you double your money.

:thumbsup:

:thumbsup:

I charge it on a day rate too, and I usually remember to put the sensor probe in too😳

ha, yeah dont want to forget that,,,,, :lol: so it seems to work out well then, the £10 2m was labour only. the addy for the boards(if on concrete) was extra. thanks guys made me feel a bit more at ease:thumbsup:

I forgot to put one in a few weeks ago Rav:dizzy2:

well, s##t happens mate, saw another post you said they have turned a bit rude with you, end of the day, you made a mistake, you held your hands up and offered to sort it, you cant do more than that pal, some times you just drop a bollock, you learn and move on, everyone does it, i know i have, my view is if you show integrity and sort the problem at your expence, there is no problem, (just not too often):smilewinkgrin:

i have done that but the self level had not set, infact it was sopping wet,
so i had to walk through the whole room and try to insert the sensor by scraping back the self level and finding the heat wire,

managed to get it done, but went home looking like a Statue, covered head to toe in self level.

you only do it once!!:lol::lol::lol::lol:
