Tilers spirit levels??

I use a wash boy on large floors and clips only with tiles over 600x600
If they were cheap I would possibly give one a go but I'm not spending hundreds on something like that

As said saves a lot of time setting out wall tiling . Also as @peteablard I also use mine for surveying floors I just use the laser unit on a window sill and measure to the floor you can soon see what is going on . If my van was stolen and I was replacing kit the laser level would be one of the first things to be replaced .

Lasers are as revolutionary as clips and washboys are to our game, they just make our work so much more easier, accurate and as already said they save you so much time. They pay for themselves in no time. I'd be very surprised if a poll was ran if nearly every tiler on here didn't have a laser.

precisely the first laser purchased in 1988/89 🙂

I don't need that sort of peer pressure Lee!
Is there any cheap ones I can get to have a go see if I like it? One that I can use on walls and floors

I used to have one I'm not sure where it came from but it just put out a single beam and I used to use it for flooring but it went missing years ago

I'm no expert on lasers, but I know that green lasers are easier to see in day light, which is why they cost more.
One of the differences between cheap lasers vs expensive lasers is quite simply accuracy and range.
The model you have shown vs Antonio's
Range - 10 m vs 40m
Accuracy - 0.5mm/m vs 0.2mm/m
The GLL 3 has a dust and splash proof rating of IP54 and it can give 3 x 360 degree lines simultaneously and will find a resting level alot quicker.
Better lasers also have thinner beams which helps with accuracy.
The Dewalt that Marc has also comes with a rechargeable battery, which pays for itself over time also.
You do litterally get what you pay for.

A lazer pays for itself very quickly with the amount of time it saves. I also take it when pricing floors, it takes seconds to check how flat a floor is and whether I need to use slc or allow for an extra couple of bags of adhesive
Also great for leveling floors I set mine up.on the floor and get a long rat bit holder in my drill and making tape it then put a line at the level point then drive screws into the floor to give hight pegs to pour the slc ...
I hope that makes sense ?
