Remove Grout From Internal Corners?

Ps, this is my last post , you 5 or 6 elitist carry on with your 'by the book' approach, and Us Multi traders will just do what we do ,which works for us, adios thou gods of thee tiling world :innocent:

I think the requirement to seal all internal wall tile corner joints was added to BS in 2009, prior to that it was only required where the walls were more than 6m long so most domestic bathrooms had grouted corners! Some good tilers did however fill the corner joint with Silicon rubber seal' if it was a shower corner to prevent water getting through if there was some movement.

Joints should not be filled with sealant, there should be a backing filler (if deep joints) or piece of bond breaking material (eg ptfe tape) at the back of the joint so that the sealant only bonds to the sides of the joint. Own up - who is not doing it properly.
