How many miles has your van done?

Bought my 06 Connect with 79k two years ago and have about 103k on it now. Most of my work is within 10 miles so not bad. All the wee Connect has needed in that time is general servicing and an o-ring for the water pump.

Looking at that fuel gauge Bri I think you should have pulled into a garage!!

Nah, that'll do me for the rest of the week! I filled it from empty a couple of weeks ago and it took £110 :yikes: I only did it because I was working away, only normally put £50 in at a time.

I don't have a van, we have estate cars. I guess that's the upside of selling products that aren't very large!

My car has just trickled over 20,000 miles. I don't do much mileage as our office is in my garden!

Spot on Stef, there's 2 gallons at least when the light comes on.

I only know this as when I got the van I ran out of fuel.

I tried for 80 mile & never made the garage!!

I don't go by the 70 mark now!!

Plenty fuel in that,

When my light comes on I zero the clock & make sure I get diesel within 70mile.

Should get 75/80 mile on the reserve.

mines a 54 plate which has a needle rather than LED's, it's very rare that I go lower than quarter of a tank for fear of running out!!

I heard stef dropped a pound coin the other day.....it hit him on the back of the head when he went to pick it up......:sofahide:

I never run the tank low... the last thing you want is running low and constantly sucking the crap at the bottom of the tank.. you will be changing diesel filters on piece ~

Stef and his mate invented copper wire - they were fighting over a penny

I popped round to see stef the other day and he was stripping the wall paper, I said you decorating naw he said moving house..............only joking mate we all no scots aren't tight ...

I don't do it often Dave,

I fill up at Tesco, so I can use my club card, but I've been working local & the nearest Tesco to me is 20 mile away..

I'm not paying the price my local garage charges for juice..

54 plate Renault Trafic, done 148K. Did 1600 miles in it last week! I'm too busy drinking Stella and doing paperwork to take a picture:lol:
Was chatting to a joiner today that works for a builder I do quite a bit for. His 11 plate transit has just been traded in for a 14 plate transit custom. All their work is local and it had just turned 17K miles in 3 years! It reminded me of this thread and couldn't remember what mileage I'd posted on here. I've done 30k miles since this, 6K of them last month! At one point I was filling it up every day for a week...... time to seriously consider trying to break back in to the local domestic market, this commercial stuff is killing me!!

OK, update time - mines ticked over 161k about 3 weeks ago, so I've put on 4k miles in about 8 months! the vectra only takes me to work and back though. if we go away anywhere, we take the astra estate cos the air con works on that.
