hi there.
ok im a bit OCD about my tools and storing them . iv got 10 tools boxs in the van and practically nothing else outside them:mad2::mad2::yikes:.

i know i know

any way i do small bits of tiling on jobs (doing up houses and carpentry etc) . i might fit 20 tile today on a floor and 4 tomorrow behind a sink. you know the usual.
the problem is that people want diferent coloured grout etc. i might use very little of it and have 3/4 of a small bag left over. all those open bags do my head in as they fall over or get picked up the wrong way and the van is distroyed
i was thinking of putting each grout into a small bucket with a snap on lid 9like the painters ones). and putting adhesive into a bigger version etc.

do you see any problems with this. im more woried about it being too dry and air tight rather than the other way.

what do you think

I tend to keep things in there original packaging but do have a lock up on a farm, the thing about leaving materials in the van is the inside of my Transit it drips like a gooden during the winter and can have an adverse effect on materials..

i was going to put the bag in the bucket rather than healing the grout etc in. the condensation is a neusence isnt it

I have a container In a yard I store tools and addy etc in, then forget what ive got lol.

before that I had a couple of the big plastic BT boxes when I had the big van, all extra weight = more fuel

Hi Alan

Mix all the different coloured grouts up and use them on your next job....

I always keep a part bag of adhesive and a couple of part bags of different colour grouts on the van, it is a pain in the back side running out and having to go to the lock up for more. I keep a big dog food bag with a few odds and sods in it. Seems to keep the mess to a min and if it doesnt fit in there then I dont want to be carrying that weight around so it goes in the lock up.
