Green chipboard base.

M

mikewhitehorn

I took on a job tiling a hallway which was covered in laminate flooring, beneath which was a green chipboard base. Against my advice the customer wants to save money by using this to take the new tiles. To remove the chipboard would mean removing three walls of book cases which are built on it. Any (sensible) ideas would be welcome.**yawn**

Fix Bal Rapid Mat then tile. Its only a couple of mm thick. Obviously the floor has to be clean and stable first.

As a rule I'd Hardie it too but for some reason I'd formed the impression that height was an issue. Note to self......read the post.
