Fibre slc thickness on wet ufh

Fibre slc thickness on wet ufh
What kind of depth of fibre slc on top of wet ufh pipes

Are you putting it over exposed pipework ?
I hate these UFH systems and in the past I have gone over with Ditra.

Yes deffo going on with Ditra it's 12mm trav ! But first will prima grip bond the deflective cover which holds the pipes and fibre slc on to that then ditra 44m

Yeh of course it does ! Just wondering how thick anyone else has put this down on this ufh system !!. Jesus

alright keep your pants on......don't think anyone has the slightest idea what your on about..!!!

im out anyway ....leave it to someone eles !!

As I said earlier the original post was vague but surely the idea of SLC is to put as much on as is needed....??

I recently viewed one of these and knocked it back due to the fact the boards were just laid on top of subfloor and were rocking around all over the shop. I reccomened they be screwed down and at least 10mm slc over top then ditra. The new bal fibre base is stable at 3mm where as weber floor flex needs 10mm. So to answer the original question at least 10mm screed, not forgetting to prime boards first with pr360.

Yes thanks ! Someone who knows the score .. Not many have seen this system never mind put trav on top.. Yeh will use top grade primer !! Started to think I am going mad !!ha ha

Does the UFH system look like this?

Annoyingly, I don't have a pic of the finished floor! I was there again today and the floor is in perfect condition still, it's only been down a couple of months but, good signs.

Nice one bri . Shame you got no more pics !! Was it a fibre slc , I'm going to use renavation

I'll get some more pics in a couple of weeks when I'm back there, there is a hot tub on the floor now! The SLC is weber floor flex, so yes, a fibre based one.

This is the most confusing thread for some time....

This is spot on thanks look forward to the pics !! Finally I found someone with the same app from sub floor to trav !! Just out of intreast is the ufh the jg speed fit overlay system !! If not it looks very similar !! Thanks again bri ....regards . Jay - midland premier tiling

Looks like the video recommends cement board like I posted earlier.

thog looking at th above picture. Self levelling along with a good primer will cut the depth down by 20mm
I'd take no notice of there instalation methods mate !! They haven't got a clue . I was using the video to show the product !! I've spoke to there tech 3 times and there rep and all don't know what there on about !
