I can go to a CTD in any part of the country and buy materials for the same price as my Newcastle branch!
I’am sure we’ve all had poor quality tiles from somewhere and we have to deal with it - but once you’ve fixed them that’s it - no more complaining.

How do you mean by fixing? Because I am on a tight budget at the next house I need to buy from a b&q for example. So may get variances in tile size.

By fixing I mean using the appropriate cement based adhesive to ensure 100% coverage between tile and substrate, sufficient to take the weight of said tile!
Once you have fixed these tiles you have accepted them as being fit for purpose and so no complaints by any manufacturer will be accepted.
Although one would expect price to be in correlation to quality this is not always the case as some larger outfits have a bulk buying model that will allow lower retail sales.
