ive finally set up an account at ctd after reading a lot about them on here, nearest store is half hour away roughly,
They called me today to give my account details and tell me how much discount I'm allowed,.. 30%

What do others get and do you use them a lot?

I get 30% too, wasn't told what discount I could expect when I opened the account in store but that's what it says when I log in to the CTD site.

Been using them for pretty much everything but went in to another tile shop to collect some tiles for a customer and enquired about their adhesive price - they stock Ultra and the guy said it was £12.99 inc vat across the range they stock which looked to be slow and rapid in grey or white - will definitely give that a go next time as much cheaper than Weber from CTD.

I get a good price on stuff but it's still far to expensive for slow spf white it's £6 a bag more

I use tileflair and get 36.6 % discount there.

I've bin goin in my branch about 12 years and the lads behind the counter are great guys but the standard set white adhesive is really expensive and they won't budge on price makes me feel like they don't value my custom

I had a job a while back using that gulf stone quartz CTD price was something stupid like £98 can't remember exactly but I got it from White Quartz - Polished - Travertine Store - http://www.travertinetilesuk.com/product/285/White-Quartz-Polished
It's half price CTD are stuck in the dark ages if u ask me so I buy as much as I can direct from manufacturers or from the Internet which is priced realistically

I get 30% normally. You can anyways negotiate on larger purchases though.
I will pay more for great service though, and until recently at least, i got it!

The prices don't show your discount. You need to apply it yourself. When you log on, what discount does it show?

Those will be retail prices, trade is much cheaper and mostly always on special offer to trade. I expect regulars get a bigger discount than occasional customers which seems fair to me.

They seem to have changed things recently, it never used to show retail and trade price together, in fact most things didn't show any price until you clicked on individual items.

weve always looked after the trade as much as we can, offering 35% off our retail price.

they also like the rebate scheme we have, customer gets 25% off and tilers get a 10% credited to their accounts.

so when they come in for the tile adhesive, it doesnt cost them anything.

tilers win win.
