Buy your own? Or Buy from your local tile shop?

Evening everyone, Just wondering weather you buy your adhesives from your local tile shop, or have adhesives delivered to your premises?

One of the local tile shops I buy my adhesives from is closing down soon, they were reasonably priced so I just bought a few bags at a time. The other tile shop in my area sells adhesive at a far higher price (claiming it to be better quality, but I prefer the cheaper one personally)

If you do order online/phone could anyone recommend somewhere to order from, ive emailed a couple of places but still waiting to hear back.

i just use CTD for every thing

Prefer to buy in bulk as my supplier gives one bag free for every 10.

Get yourself a CTD account unless you have another independent close to you.
I like CTD as I can get 2 deliveries a week from them.

Ive just signed up for a cash account, it says it takes 2-3 working days 🙂.

I cant seem to find a list of adhesives and things they do on the site though.

You will have to wait till your account is up & running before you see prices but i wouldn't bother as the websites a bit of a joke as even when logged in the prices are not showing correct.
Get the phone number & phone the trade counter & they will sort things out for you, or go in & get to know them, the guys in Helen st CTD Glasgow are fantastic.

CTD for everything for me, collect or deliver, collect the loyalty points (just spent a few of mine on a new cutter). Use weber adhesive, great stuff and collect there points as well. Get friendly with the manager for better discount prices.

what I've started doing is telling customer how much we need, they ring up and pay for it and I'll go and collect it from my tile supplier. It works out quite well for a few reasons, a) I'll tell tile supplier what trade discount I want customer to have, the difference is then credited to my account b) I don't get a bill at the end of the month to pay.

CTD for me too. They will get Weber to deliver direct to site for me if it's a pallet or more or they will deliver if it's a local job. As Julian says you get loyalty points and on everything you buy and the weber rewards are great if you like their adhesive. (Just ordered my 2nd ipad mini with mine)
