Bodge or not thread

Seems the tiler did follow the former here: Bodged Or Not?

You'll notice me avoiding blaming the tiler all through the thread. I had a feeling the customer wanted us to say he was wrong so he'd redo it. But I'm glad I said otherwise now. As it he did follow the former.

I've suggested the tiler doesn't alter it to match the customers personal preference FOC.

Have I done right in doing so?

It's a strange one, if he's followed the former as has been said then he should be paid, surely the builder / site agent, and the owner would have looked at this former many times before buying it, as she says herself, devil in the detail so she must have seen it, he should be paid for alterations imho 🙂

EDIT: I suppose he could have mentioned something as well before it was fixed ?

I had a funny feeling if they've been on to the phone to the manufacturer, and also the builder, and our forum, they were really looking for one person to say "that's wrong" and that would have been the person they used to tackle the tiler with.

IMO she can have it how she wants as long as she pays. I didn't want the tiler working for free sorting that out.

Yeah I know what you mean, set the fixer up as the scapegoat 🙁 good job the finger wasn't pointed 🙂

She's still trying I think.

Got a really funny feeling she's going to blame the tiler for this. Hope I'm not wrong in saying he's not wrong! pmsl

I've tried to get one mate.

I think it's this. She says rotating drain: Aqua-Dec EasyFit - The UK's luxury and disabled wet-room specialist.

There doesn't actually appear to be lines from what I can see. I guess because of the fact it rotates?

It's well out of my area.

I'm just trying to get the tiler a break here. And she's trying to pin it on him. Costs and all I bet.

Trying to find out who ordered it. And what they stipulated to the tiler perhaps?

Ok , just read the thread update , he has gone off line to the tray falls , he's done what he thought looked more aesthetically pleasing to him , when in reality you do go from each drain corner , the square cut tile is chance to be packed up to overcome the falls.

So he's not done the right thing there.

Wonder why?!?! lol

If that's the case mate, and you're 100% - then say so in the thread. And let her have her one bloke that's going to cost the tiler that former lol *hides

Okay I've bit the bullet and told her lol.

Hope the tiler doesn't hunt me down. I'll say have you seen the size of Dave?
