Bal apd

Can this be applied using a normal decorating roller oir is one of the small gloss type ones better?

Short pile decorating roller will be fine, emulsion brush, sponge, soft broom, vest, dishcloth, spray bottle, in fact I think I've used all sorts of applicators.

I tend to use a paint brush..

Get a latex glove on a use a tiling sponge.


Pour/mix apd in bucket and away you go, easy way to do it.......just dont soak the sponge too much or push the sponge too hard into the wall otherwise all of your primer will end up on the floor or down your arm..:8:

If you are going to use Bal on your anhydrite screed , then I suggest you contact them for a method.

You will end up with a failure if the correct products are not used.

It is not as simple as a quick lick of primer.

I Have been told by Gyvlon :
Sand with 60 grit
Hoover
Prime with BAL APD ( or other quality primer)
1st Coat diluted 1:1
2nd coat neat applied at 90 degrees.
No doubt BAL sell an expensive applicator for their APD, but looking at other posts a trip to the laundry basket or DIY store might do.

I cant see where it says its a screed floor...or even a floor for that matter..

Yes for a floor.
And Yes BAL recommend BAL APD primer.

be careful with Bal if it goes wrong they will look to blame the fixer imo but i have never fixed to a gyvlon floor as of yet
