I’m in Italy. My builder, who only does a good, not great job charges €22/m(2) for porc on new well finished floor. 60x60. You can find cheaper, ad low as €17/ m. Plus VAT in theory but not much tax paid out here.

...and then you open a can of worms you never saw coming...expect the unexpected, any prep has to be on dayrate, tbh as tilings my hobbyThanks for the reply Andreas. And do per m2 prices include adhesive and grout etc or is that on top? One other thing, prep work, removing old tiles, laying self levelling compound etc if on a floor, I notice people tend to charge day rate for this. Let's just say its one day in prep work for example, am I right in thinking it would be charge at let's just say 150 for that day, then charge the rest of the job at the m2 rate as normal? For instance, 150 prep, 10m2 at 30 per m2, 300 + 150 so 450 all in?
Cheers Andy. Seeing all the different views on it makes it sound slightly complicated to me. Although I'm sure once you know what your doing it really isn't. This is all new to me. Coming from a mechanics background so totally different to what I'm used to....and then you open a can of worms you never saw coming...expect the unexpected, any prep has to be on dayrate, tbh as tilings my hobbyI like my dayrate most of the time but damm if you prep properly the moneys there to be earned on M rates....

Tiling Rates Per Square Meter / Per Day - How much do tilers charge?

I know this is a hard one to answer. But just as an approximate guide for those searching for how much a tiler costs, and landing on websites such as my builder who seem to be selling tilers for pennies, how much you been charging either day rate or per meter generally?
Perhaps if you could split your work between your fancy stuff, and your bread-winning stuff over the past year or so, then do that so we can see the difference.
And then perhaps price per floors and per walls? If different at all.
Just wanted to get the facts straight for those searching, as £150 per day or £20 per meter isn't what I'd expect to pay anymore. It's not the 90's lol
Thanks for the info. As I say this is all new to me and I'm hoping to a UK Pro tiling course soon. Apparently they tell you how to price jobs too so hopefully all this sort of stuff would be included. It's a bit daunting spending all the money the course is going to cost by time I've paid for travel and accommodation etc. I'm 350 mile away! Come from a mechanics background so this is completely not what I'm used to! Very keen to do it though! All materials on top
Regarding Your cost breakdown , that's correct, as long as installing 5m2 won't take You two days, make sure You consider all cuts, boxing's etc, like I've mentioned before if there is a lot of fancy cuts, boxing's etc or the tile is small in size You may find Yourself taking pennies for the job.
I'm always trying to give one fixed price for the job/each room (if multiple involved )so calculate how long it will take to go through every step, big floors ,usuall bathrooms on ppm2, prep and tricky areas on day rate.
Always proper on site checks before providing quote

Personally I work my prices out at a minimum of £200 per day. I then work out square meterage to see what works best. I find pricing jobs where there is a lot of scribing and cuts impossible to work out on a m2 , so revert back to day rate. Obviously large floors work out better on m2 than a day rate so change accordingly.Tiling Rates Per Square Meter / Per Day - How much do tilers charge?

I know £50/60 m2 or £180 day rate? so 3/4m2 a day , that tiler would be gone, the tortoise 🙂These day rate figures are in no way relation to the metre rates getting batted about..
