Just had sickness and diarrhoea for the last 24 hours, feel much better now. Only downside is I couldn't go to work :mad2:

Anyone else had this sickness that's going round? I wouldn't wish it on anybody.

nope but my wee girl was in hospital at weekend she had both norovirus and rotovirus at the same time that was an experience:yikes:

the wife is layed up with it as we speak going in to the 3rd day now and the little one was sick all over boots floor to day lol clean up in ile 4 please lol

You'll get it soon Diamond, lots of my mates in North Wales have had it, not me so far.
I went climbing on Lundy island a few years ago and everyone on the island got it, mine was mild but the loos were doing overtime for others!

Had a spot of it about a month ago. My lady had it, then about 4 days later I had it.

Had acid, all of a sudden was sick, then had the rest for about 12 hours. Went bed, for up, was fine.

Weirdest short spell of man flu ever. Haha

not had it yet John, but if it's going round the chances are my youngest lad will catch it:thumbsdown:

My 2 yr old has a bad case of the cold just now. Bad cough, the runs & heavy drooling. She's as happy as ever though

I had norovirus and so did my little pud. It was in our house for about a week. Mr GRR never caught it though and he works at a hospital so is right in the firing line to catch the latest of everything, but we suspect little pud brought it home from the childrens centre where he's been playing with toys and stuff.

Could have been mr grr, but because he works at hospital he's built up his immune system well by being nearish it but not quite in the thick of it maybe. So he's bought it home but hasn't had the effect of it.

That said the kids toys thing could be right they all even share drink cartons where roxy goes.

I dunno Dan, Mr GRR always seems to get everything but on this occasion he didn't. He has had a flu jab via work though, so maybe it's built his immune system up a bit, I don't know... A guy I work with, his little on had Croup the other week, and he reckons it was caught from the nursery the little one goes to. Germs aren't bad for you, but too many are what causes all of these breakouts. Wash handies everyone, sneeze into tissues and use alcohol hand gels.

Had croup at Roxy's nursery a few weeks ago. Didn't sound good. 3 kids went to A&E apparently.

Those flu jabs only cover one specific strain of a virus (one covers three strains though or something) and the strains keep changing and there are dozens of them. So it's never a guaranteed thing. My old man swears by it but he stills gets the flu lol

Might be the same nursery Dan. My work colleague lives over your way. Whooping cough is making a come-back, although my mum reckons that and Croup are the same thing but I've just checked, they're not.

Croup's apparently where they cough so much the throat gets sore and swells and can stop them breathing in severe cases. Or so the nursery lady said. She said to watch out for a cough and take her to doctors straight away, but she was fine. She only goes twice a week.

Croup sounds different to other coughs, more a bark. They make noise inhaling (stridor) rather than exhaling (wheeze) and its because the voice box is inflamed.

One of my twins gets croup a few times a year due to other complications he has, it's usually a&e for oral steroids to reduce swelling and home but he's been really poorly with it at times, with lengthy hospital stays.

If you hear stridor get them seen 🙂

My little brother used to get that, went to hospital the 1st time, they said if it happened again steam helps, Mum used to shut her en suite door and put the shower on hot and keep kettle button pressed down, did the trick. My daughter had it a few times, did that with her and no hospital visits.

Been feeling quite crook the past couple days.. bad sickly feeling yesterday and today... feel sicker than a puff with no Vaseline 🙂
