Wd 40

Did a job tomorrow for a plumber I know, he normally does site work but this was a domestic job.
I'd just finished grouting and was waiting for it to dry to be polished, he asked me what I was waiting for! Dust off I said.
Why? All the tilers on site spray there sponges with WD-40 and wipe over all the tiles and go home.
New one on me, has any of you who do site work come across this?

many years ago, when do tiles with mortar, we were using sawdust with fuel oil, for the final cleaning .. 🙁
now with tiles allayed it would be everything stucco spotted 🙁

Yes, we cleaned and polished quarry's with sawdust , can't remember using oil though

I know a bricklayer would put diesel on all the bricks in a ladies porch he built, 3 years later and you can still smell it.

We used to use silver sand for quarries,worked wonders on stuff like surefoot etc.

Marc let me know how you go on with the silver sand, and the Dry Treat.

We used to use damp sawdust to clean off quarries, but it got banned, it contamiated the grout.

I hope it all works well for you please let me know, you can always blame some old begger if it doesn't work.
