£6.50 an hour. I wonder if thats better than unemployment?
I know there are labourers around here that wont get outta bed for less than £7.50/hr, but our unemployment level is much lower than (e.g.) South Wales, and that aint too far away.
I appreciate most of the respondents to this thread are established tilers - and £6.50 is an insult to your skills. Nevertheless, a hungry family, paying off the Xboxes the kids had for Xmas, mortgage and leccie due, putting a gallon of diesel in the 1997 Ford Mondeo, taking the Rottweiller to the vets.... all these things cost. And if you used a "PayDay Loan" to pay for Christmas.... Missus is on max hours at Asda. It all means that there will be an uptake of that tiling work. And probably from quite a few tilers.
