Evening all,
as you may or not know......I started this job as a "squeeze" between jobs......a couple of weeks ago....
its not the easiest job in the world IMO.....but I will let you decide.......here is what has gone on:

That is the En-suite.............and its ready for tiling......yippppeeee!

and here is the Master....

Whats with the ply walls Lee ???

the guy is a self builder.......what can I say.....not only is it ply but it is "shuttering ply!"........eeeeeewwwwwww......But I can sort it out........ overboard!........

They use a system like that in New Zealand, i saw it loads while i was there. It was good.


if you saw it there.......its the way to go........they have ledgeslation on tiling and wet rooms and everything!

Not just anybody can do it over there, you have to be a registered installer of it. Great product. I didn't know it was over here now. Or have you imported some?? or will you not say any more :lol:

Evening All......just home from another day in the sticks.....been great TBH........nice weather always helps.......here is what went on....

first off I finished the tanking in the master bathroom and adjusted all the lighting holes so they are level with each other:

I have to plug the hole on the bath platform (under the window)......do that tomomorrow!!!........forgot to do it tonight!!!...doh!

I decided to re-finish the off cuts of the tiles to suit the situ, rather than getting an extra one from Ray (sorry Ray)........saves the customer a few quid and saves me HOURS!!!!!

dont worry lee i will get over it nice bit of cutting .what power is the self build client going to run through all them cables comming through the wall in a shower they look like 1.5 mm lighting cable 240 v

Well...........ahem.........ahem again..................

at the moment Ray they are 2.5 twin and earth.........and the lights I have seen do NOT have transformers......and even if they did.......how would they fit through those tiny,tiny holes?.......

I could go on.....but I wont.............
 
OMG..........I am now (all of a sudden) feeling guilty........it did not even occur to me today as I was just trying to "get on!" (I am just the tiler!)............he has kids Ray.........and this is their room........I have to stop............OMG......talk about blindsided........

What size tile is it Lee? Looks good.

He can't tell you because it's all top secret and a risk to national security if such information is divulged in a public forum.


BTW Bri I'm guessing the tanking is Mira 4400 multicoat but could be wrong.

got to the job today and here is what went on:

first off I grouted the floor......Black......there is another sponge that bites the dust!......doh!.....

next was the first bit of wall tiling.....900 x 600 polished porcel-thin..........

at this point we run out of tiles......and I had to make a mad dash to FEET!..........good to see you Ray.....but next time can it be a social vistit!!!!

Hi Ishi...the floor tiles are 1200x600 (non slip)......the wall tiles on two walls are 900x600 polished and the other two walls are 1200x600.......all of the tiles are 4.8mm thick!!!.........
