Just plumbing supplies and adhesive. Everything else we supplied.Did he supply any materials?
If he has you will need to pay for anything he has supplied, and hold back any payment for the labour.

Dude! Have actually read any of my posts? Give them another read.If he's an acquaintance and given you were reluctant to snag his work whilst it was ongoing then maybe you owe it to him to put on some big boy panties and get him back on site to explain in person why you're not satisfied and offer him at least a fair opportunity to make it right. Also tell him that you think the job is unsalvageable without starting again from scratch and as it stands that's exactly what you're considering via an alternative contractor ......but maybe he's got some rabbits he can pull out of hats.
Maybe but the bloke clearly hasn’t read 90% of what I’ve written. It’s not particularly fun for me dealing with this situation.Bit of an overreaction to say the least. Nothing sinister about Marvos post IMHO.
Nothing in writing from who? Problems for us in what way? I didn’t sign any contract with him and only have his quote which does not have any terms and conditions on.Unbelievably bad...........and if you’ve got nothing in writing, then your going to have problems.
Rip out and start again is the ONLY way forward.

Aye ye bam yer nae wrang there the noo! Also remember that this is an international forum and Marvo is South African so his terminology and phases will be different and the written word can easily be misconstrued.

So he just gave a verbal quote, not a written one?
Did you not read the first post Dude!!

Geez, take a deep breath.Dude! Have actually read any of my posts? Give them another read.
I HAVE spoke to him, several times and for a final time over the phone to discuss exactly why we weren’t happy after sending all of the 70 pics above.
He definitely does not have to skill to put it right. So perhaps you could put on your sarcastic bellend pants and give me some more of your advice?
It's a common phrase here, it means take the bull by the horns. I'm guessing from the reaction it caused it's not a phrase that's used in the UK.“Big boy panties”
Love it.
No, he provided a written quote. So he just gave a verbal quote, not a written one?
Only a couple of verbal quotes from others so we knew it was a going rate.Did you get any other quotes prior to giving this ‘tradesman’ the go ahead?
Was his quote just a text with a price?
Lol! Yeah sorry about that! It's a common phrase here, it means take the bull by the horns. I'm guessing from the reaction it caused it's not a phrase that's used in the UK.
