levelling system for 36mm thick tiles

Anyone know of a levelling system the does the above? Also any considerations when using tiles of this thickness? It's a composite stone going around a swimming pool but 1200x600 and i think lifting up to pack is gonna be a struggle and also concerned that a tile of that size will have so much suction on the adhesive that it might pull on the ditra to the point it debonds. Any thoughts please? Not a big fan of these lash systems because I'm a paranoid soul and like many I have the void concerns but I think if it was back buttered as well as trowelling up the ditra then should be okay. Maybe. Paranoia's already getting me. And its got a wet UFH system, not that happy about this to be honest. And not looking forward to breaking my back!!

Ah brilliant, cheers Deano, having seen the video it does look a bit flimsy, do you think it'll have the guts to do what i want? And as it's a stone tile I cant use any strong acid cleaners, have you any tips for keeping the tile clean?

Thats a good shout but wouldnt be sure about using it as the company that supplies the pool and the stone etc also supply the sealer to use. I wouldnt want to use anything that may interfere with the supplied sealer? Is that even possible do you think? I could preseal before laying which would be a right faff but better than making a mess of the stone and I've got the labour time as the price is good enough. Would the sealer prevent the adhesive from bonding to the face of the tile do you think?

You cant expect these levelling systems to do all the work for you. They should only be used IMO to tweak the final stages...you still should aim to lay them correctly with minimal to zero lippage...cant beat the white rubber hammer IMO.

Working clean is the best way, change the washing off water regular and clean sponge too.

Stone that size and thickness must weigh between 50 - 75kgs per plate. I doubt any plastic levelling system is going to work to be man enough for that job. What about pourable adhesive and a LARGE rubber mallet? Surely that's the appropriate levelling system here, and forget about back buttering, unless you have a lot of helpers...

Ive just done some 25mm rectified granite on sand and cement back slurried the only way in my opinion with this stuff rubber mallet and long straight edge.

I can't see why the rubi system wont work it's far stronger than the other systems.i would deffo give them a try.imho.
