do you think that this is a fair price?

It all depends on the prices you can get in your area. For me around here, I would say that's a very low price.

seems a bit on the low side to me too, a lot of work involved and as for the plasterboarding i guess you'll need a helper which will cost you too. a lot of work involved/time consuming. it could depend on how desperate you are to get the job but you don't want to buy work.

Spot on for me mate. 10 days labour @ £120 per day is £1200, leaving you £400 for materials. 2 weeks work for a wage that most would work a month for !!!!!

It is a bit on the cheap side though its nowhere near two weeks work. Most of my work is stripouts and redo. Is there any plumbing work involved? If not thats 5 or six days work which then makes it a good wage.

thanks guys
i know now that it's perhaps is a bit on the cheaper side but the plumber thinks its a bit steep!
to be honest though the way things are here customers are very reluctant to spend money, because they go to bargain tile shops and pay £7.99sqm for the tiles they think that they should only pay that for fixing them.
they also only take in to consideration the cost of the plasterboard and not the time and effort of fixing it.
and they SERIOUSLY believe that taking the old tiles off the walls is part of the job and should not be charged for.
