Usually if my sigma is on the job I cut my hardi with that it's quick easy and accurate or if not I scribe it a million times and snap it but having just treated my self to a bosch GAS 35 AFC M I was wondering has anyone used one of them fancy blades in a circular saw attached to the dust extractor cut the hardi ?

I use one of these! 😀

That puts 140/160ltr fresh air thro mask in a minute.
With bump cap and anti impact visor with tear off strips.

Cut outside with the grinder with the dust blowing away from you.
You don't have to cut right through the Hardie, a quick score with the grinder & snap it, a lot quicker than using the knife.

You joking, the dust is bad for you , sugar, I will cut outside from now on:mask: I always wondered why the customer always complained about all the dust in her front room while I was cutting inside :flushed:god dam, why didn't I think of that :tearsofjoy:

Seen Tilers using a grinder indoors.. :anguished:

I've cut tiles with the grinder indoor before, when there is a spare room to work in that's not decorated etc, also when customer wasn't in. I always use little ear plugs.
I use no more ply which is same as hardie, just score with knife and snap, or use hand saw for l shape cuts etc. I wear a 3m disposable mask.

For awkward little cuts I just use my plasplugs table saw. Easy cuts then score and snap.

@Kyle Knowles just a point worth remembering Kyle,
The visors are polycarbonate and highly scratchable!
Do not instinctively wipe visor with your hand or cloth, it'll trash it immediately, esp if it's porcelain dust or such like.
I use tear off visors inside and out to protect as much as possible and I don't wipe visor until dust is pretty much removed.
I use either compressed air in a can or squeeze a sponge of water over top of visor first.
Water is most effective.
How do I know all this? ........🙁🙁🙁

Christ Marc - bet the neighbours are worried when they see you in your haz suit and decontaminating with compressed gas.
