Cutting around radiator pipes

Whats the best way to cut around the radiator pipes ,just cut a u shape then fill in with grout behind or is there a better way.

dont fill with grout it looks naff...cut u shape around pipe,then overlap the cut onto another peice of tile and cut this to sit behind curving the front of it to back of pipe then grout up looks much neater...Gaz:wink_smile:

use a key shape (drill a hole for the pipe then cut the edge out once the tile is fixed, fix the cut out peice back in place and grout)

Yes but if you do it like gaz says, you can hardly see the cut, looks like a true pro did it.

Then........you could fit a pipe collar........get them from wickes in bags of 10. Chrome or white.

So what you are saying gaz is that you stick the tile that has been cut out on top of another then trace the cut out shape onto this tile .

Basically just cut a piece to go back in the hole, the original piece that. Was cut out won't be any good because it will have 2x the width of the cut blade taken out of it.
