Job booked in for sat/sun, about 80m2 in shop refurb, been to see it last week, floor is concrete and perfectly flat, access right to back of shop with van and tools, starbucks right next to it and numerous food chains too! Even got call today to say that tiles and expansion joints were on site. Time will tell!!

When you turn up there will be four carpenters, three electricians and two painters all trying to work the entire weekend as well

Lol, Ive been in all of the above too many times!! There was also the promise of the place to ourselves!!

Oh yeah, I do the Starbucks now and then, my bubble has just burst, same on every shop fit, all trades," lets all go and work were the tiler is working":mad2:

And a plumber, who will break the stop **** and leave no water to mix with and disapear off to the wholesaler for parts to fix it for 4 hours, and Starbucks won't let you use their water

Done my share of these jobs, best thing to do is yell "look over there" and then spread a load of adhesive on the floor. Doesn't stop them walking on your tiles though.

Got to say this mob are actually pretty good, done a few for them before including footlocker and JD sports shops, fingers still crossed though!!

I'm with Tom!
There will be no one there , but there'll be an immovable tower scaffold for sure!

There will be no one on site until you lay some tiles and nip off for a drink. Come back and all the tiles have been walked on but none of them have done it

The job I'm on at he moment was meant to be a good one 'it's 1100m2 of perfectly level floor Pete' and 'it will be the easiest money you've ever made'..... Yeah right! It's a big department store and the floors are a nightmare! We've done 85m2 so far and there's nearly 40mm difference between the highest and lowest points. Tiles are 600 x 600 and it's turning into the hardest floor I've ever done. Apparently there's no budget for any prep work:mad2:

I had one in oxford street 6" hump in floor dived off 8" to the right up 4" to the left 70 mts long 600 x 600 2mm joints should of laid it level with a 6" step in the door way lol

Well as I guessed this job was a breeze, we went in sat morn, by five pm we had seventy odd metres down, went back on sun morn put in a few cuts and grouted, we were home for one o clockl!! Sun was shining so it was cider time!

Good result mate, and I thought it would be your typical shop fit. Nice one.

Well done! Nice find that!

I bet you never even stopped for a coffee did you?
