best tile levelling system rubi or raimondi need to know

I always wanted to try the Rubi ones. Just too tight to buy the tool to install them.
What problems did you have using them?

I was given them to try. They are not strong enough to lift large format tiles up to the level. maybe good for 300x300 but if you cant manually level 300x300 then you wanna give up !

Used lash clips a couple of weeks ago on approx. 20m2 of 600 X 600 tiles. First time ever and I was very impressed (did make my sensitive little thumbs a bit sore though squeezing the wedges in)

I have used LASH clips before which were ok to use. Turn the wedges around to save your thumbs

Apparently the water more water in the mix the better the product, and would also assume a fibre mixture would be the strongest hope this helps

I have the riamondi too. Good but has limitations. If using rapid set, the spacer will set in the adhesive, then can only push down with the wedge. They are strong too, unlike the lash clips from tops, which you will need a metre deep bed to accomadation the curled up ends. I have only used hem on marble floors where you can justify them ( nearly).
still nothing better than a straight edge, a flat for checking lippage, a good toutch and a pair of eyes!

I attempted to use lash clips the other day, but couldn't get my head around the amount of space they seemed to need under the tile, due to the curve!?! Gave up, and used spacers. I know where I am with spacers! Lol

I couldn't agree more.

Rubber mallet and spirit level work better.

I use original Tuscan. It's the best. The traps might be expensive, and if you want something cheaper and faster godt with Leveltec, easy and fast going 🙂

I've just invested in a load of rubi and to be honest I'm a little less than impressed. With the lash clips you can actually pull the lip page out to a certain extent, the rubi ones you can't put much pressure on at all. They're more of an aid to hold your tiles in place once you've got them right in the first place. After buying the rubi system I'll be more careful about which system I buy next. Having said that though you still have piece of mind that once set they're not going to move.
