uneven bathroom floor advice

I am currently doing a job where the wooden floor is slightly "off level" in that it slopes away slightly about a metre from the wall ...the flooring is wooden floorboard and these are to b overlaid with marmox, but im thinking that when the boards are secured down they will follow the contour of the floorboards and also slope off

...one thought is to apply an extra amount of thinset mortar to the area where is slopes off , apply the marmox board on top and screw down only when thinset that dried hoping that will result in a levelled floor.....the area where the extra mortar is t be applied will be secured with longer nails than the rest of the boarding

Is this an option or are there other ways to resolve...as always any help greatly appreciated ...many thanks all

Thanks Ceramico, would it not be better to try and do it at the boarding stage, and then tiles can be laid as per normal without the need to build up adhesive level ?

Use a fibre enhanced SLC.. like Mapei Renovation screed or Weber floor flex.. do not bed to that depth with adhesive that is not suitable for that purpose..

Thanks Dave ....its not a 20mm drop off , I think Ceramico was saying that people do it up to 20mm...its just makes the spirit level slightly out so was looking for a simple solution tbh without doing SLC given that its a small area of the room

Using an SLC is a simple way of sorting out your problem.

IMO as long as the floor is flat then it will be fine.. not all floors have to be bubble level.. you can create a nightmare job by trying to level sometimes.. but each floor has to be taken at face value to see if trueing up is achievable and that can only be done by the fixer as he/she is the only one that can see what we cannot.🙂

I have a timber floor soon that is probs about a foot and half out of level from the back to the bathroom door.. so as long as it is flat then no way can i build it up that height... you would need steps to get in the room.:lol:
