We laid tiles that were slippery so used a product that was asidic. The tiles were obviously poor quality because we now have stains appearing which I think must be from below the surface. They will rub out but reappear. My question is If these tiles are re sealed will it stop the staining.

To be honest I am not sure, we used them on the walls in the wet room and also the floor. They are about a foot square with a pale marble effect.

You likely ate the glaze with the acid and now all vapor and everything else under your tile has a quick exit from under your tile. Sealer won't stop it, it's like putting a bandage on the outside of a rubber pool in a very small but real scenario. Pictures would certainly help.
