Hi all
I'm looking at some Victorian wall tiles for an outside front doorway similar to this:
The wall tiles I'm looking at are Ceramic. Does the advice about avoiding using Ceramic tiles outside as they're not frost proof apply to wall tiles in a covered over outside space?
Any steps you...
Beginner DIY Tiler, I'm contemplating drilling (with ceramic tile carbide tipped drill bits) then using a hand saw with tungsten blade to cut the required piece out.
Would this work okay?
I don't think using a wet saw, which I do have to do this would feel comfortable and using a manual saw...
I've recently bought Johnson 'Orkney Stone' ceramic floor tiles from B&Q. Paid to have them professionally laid. At the time I asked if they needed sealing. The tiler told me since they were ceramic (not porcelain or natural stone) they didn't need to be sealed.

I have some projects on my hand. Therefore, I want to know exactly what type of drill bit will suit best our ceramic tiles. Because I don’t want to ruin them by using the wrong equipment.
I heard that A good quality carbide-tipped masonry drill bit will do the trick. Still, I wanted to listen...
Hello everyone, first time DIY tiler.
I bought some ceramic tiles for both bathrooms and a kitchen backsplash in the summer, left them stacked in the garden and have recently brought them indoors to start the job but as expected being outside in sunny England they've been rained on a few times...
I just got a new bathroom done through a plumber, who managed the whole process (I had no dealings with the electrician or tiler). I didn't choose the tiles, they were supplied (I chose just chose a tile out of a choice of 3). The tiles were installed on Monday, all adhesive and grouting done on...
