Marmox to plywood floor

Probably been covered but want to fix 6mm marmox boards to plywood floor and I believe both adhesive and marmox screws and washers but was wondering if the adhesive should be a solid bed or combed and can I just use a slim bed?

also will be fixing UFH to the marmox once fitted and therefore will need a decent slc to go over the top that's easy to use and level. It should be around 4 to 5mm finished.

A thin notched trowel is fine so long as floor is relatively flat. You should be ok with 4mm. Use screws and washers at 300mm (or 12 per board). I find Mapei Ultraplan Renovation Screed great to use but Weber Floor Flex is also good.

i take it when I screw the boards down the adhesive is still wet and will therefore compress the 4mm adhesive abit more?

just a quick query I have corners and edgings that are applied with tile adhesive from the floor onto the wall for a water tight edge but was wondering should I install them onto the ply floor or the marmox floor or the screened floor as the levels build up? Hope that makes sense.

I'm assuming the walls are being tanked also? Did you say all marmox board joints & screw fixings are being tanked?

yep marmox covering all walls some fixed with the 10mm masonry hammer in fixings but tile adhesive as well across complete board. Some screwed onto stud work with appropriate washers all joints will be waterproof tapped and joints were initially sealed with marmox acrylic sealant. Not sure what you mean in ref to screw fixings being tanked?

I always use tanking gum over mechanical fixings to ensure waterproof integrity

cheers for that was going to use CT1 or marmox acrylic around the fixings before tiling over if you think that will suffice?

No probs will pick up some Mapei Mapegum or if you know of a better product please let me know.

just looking at mapei renovation screed and their was a suggestion that you should use mapeprim sp before levelling ? Is thus required over a marmox board or will the screed adhere fine to the marmox cement board?

No need to prime. Brush & vac though before levelling
