Mapei prices

Hi all.got an invoice in today! 11 bags of keraquick white.£20.37 each.23kg of ultracolor jasmin grout.£30.87. 1 litre lithofin mn stainstop£23.04 and a tub of spacers at £3.47. Then vat on all which came in at £322.61 total.what ya all think? Good? Bad? Or down right ugly? Lol.

seems a wee bit steep hillhead but i dont know are addys etc dearer in ireland? i pay less for kera white also stainstops cheaper by maybe 25 percent

seems expensive to me Joe for the grout but the adhesive is cheaper than my local stockist is.Lithofin seems okish.All in all a tad expensive i'd say.

Copy that. TG do some very very good prices on Mapei for tilersforums members. 🙂

Unfortunately, Tile Giant in only in Britain at this time (though it's the fastest expanding tile merchant going! - so maybe soon).

I have laticrete trying hard for my business at the minute too! Its hard to make prophit on them prices as when a customer walks in off the street they can get discount too i think.must see if davy G can sort me.lol.

That does seem a little dear on the addy. I just got a price for 5kg mapei gum £26 something from TG, and at a small local tile shop it was £14 something. I cant work out why there is such a BIG BIG difference.

That a damn good price,that would have saved or put an extra £80.80 in my pocket :yikes: and thats just the adhesive.

I've not noticed any difference and all my adhesives, grouts, slc are Mapei supplied by TG

Have you set up an account via Tilersforums? there is added discount over and above there normal trade discount. I havent used them yet as it's a bit too far for the odd bit here and there but they did me a quote for a larger job i was pricing (not that large) and they came out very cheap

See Armatile in Armagh sells Biscem. If they do the same prices as Huttons on the Shore Road then you're talking £6 bucket of showerproof, £8 rapidset, £11 flexi rapidset, £11 white SPF, £35 rubber crumb. Bargain stuff, the white single part flexi is exactly the same as (nearly sure it's made in the same factory) £18 Technik OPF, twice the adhesive that Keraflex Maxi is. Nice stuff to work with, although the rapidset can go off fairly quickly in a warm room. Worth looking into if you want to make a few quid on materials.

I was in Armatile today, def no biscem addys in there at all.some grouts available only.the Armatile Armagh store went on fire over a week ago,i was in looking some ditra and it was all burned !!!:yikes:.have to get some tomorrow.

they wouldn't let me in,lol. i know they have cutters and all in there.
pallets of mapei adhesive and grout with oceans of tiles too !!! a lot of orders ready for despatch too ! not nice.

Hate that, was in the store in Huttons the other day lifting a bag of SPF with the storeman and near had a semi from the pallets full of adhesive and the odd new Sigma lying about.

If you're ever in Belfast they'd maybe sell you a pallet of it at a good price.

Yes they do.

You need to get your standard membership account switched over to a TilersForums membership account by filling in the online form.

You can find the thread that explains it all in the TilersForums Arms. The only guys that wont notice a change are the current store 'top 5'. So the top 5 companies that spend the most with each store also get the exclusive discount prices.

If you're one of those, or a TilersForums Arms member, you DO get really good prices on most Mapei gear, and some other commonly used items like tile trims and some other stuff.
