Joe got in touch via this site after I posted about a Victorian style path in April. My search for a "local" tiler had taken me as far as London (and London prices are aimed more at Russion billionaires) with no success, unfortunately not many people seem to do this kind of work in the South so my choices were limited.
I arranged for a builder to prepare the base, worked out the design and supplied the tiles (Original Style sourced from Classic Tile Centre in Portsmouth who were very helpful), Joe did the rest...
As this was his first full scale geometric job it was a little bit risky but he was the only person I spoke to that showed a real desire to do this kind of work. The gamble paid off: not only did Joe and his trusty assistant Ben work incredibly hard while they were here, they took a lot of care to make sure it looks the business.
Not only that, but despite a few unforeseen items (mainly due to the builder's definition of a level base not being quite what Joe had in mind), the final price was also pretty much spot on to his original quote.
I've put some photos in my album here (you can see before and after), it really is a fantastic job: I've lost track of the number of people who've stopped and admired it while walking past 🙂
Joe's profile is here if you want to give him a go:

No doubt I'll see him down here in Romsey again now that I've inspired the locals to add a bit of class to their gardens!
