Cleaning my slate tiles ***HELP***

Hello Everyone,

I'm new to this forum, and need advice regarding my small upstairs toilet floor.

We had natural slate tiles installed and about 6 months ago, and Im only now coming round to sealing them (I know thats pretty lazy but you know how it is)

Any how I went and bought 'Vitrex heavy duty cleaner'. I spent today trying to clean off the grout haze and excess grout on the first 2 rows from behind the toilet which you can see in the photos. However it does not seem to be shifting it.

How would you go about this? I want to get them clean so i can seal them. It sonly now i think the job is an extremely poor one, but its too late to moan, just want them clean.

Thanks in advance

Regards

That is quite some mess! I would be using LTP grout stain remover or LTP grimex personally. Good luck

We paid someone to do it but it was a friend type job. It's gonna be down to me to fix it.

I will try the solution mentioned and will cross my fingers.

Is the grimex the stronger stuff? In your experience do you think I'll be able to shift this?

Thanks for the responses

Bought this stuff, has worked a treat. Using wire wool and elbow grease, comes off relativly easily. Once done i will clean and seal, job done.

thanks for the advice.

Which product did you use in the end? Don't forget a picture of the finished floor.

Pleased you got the floor sorted. Now it's just a question of redoing the tiles behind the wc!
