2mm tile spacers

this has justset me thinking of any -other stuff i have seen used as tile-spacer and at the mo i can only add Cardboard!! any others??

cheers sir ramic for the link, their website said they were out of stock, but their ebay place says different. i have ordered a 1000.

i was taught how to use string when i was learning , years ago. only used it on 1 job. then spacers become more easy to find.

If you look at the profile of Homelux tile trim ie 'the bits they cut out' - I do remember that they tried to recycle those as spacer pegs!
Personally I've used anything from the cardboard packaging they come in to oval nails and tooth picks.

Whatever happened matchsticks - I remember when I was a Lad...........

i still use model making matchsticks even on 600 porcelain use them once then in the bin and batten packers for larger joints when i don't grid the floors and have never used a rubber mallet :lol:

I use a lump hammer Pete:yikes:, not on shop fitters tho':lol: I tap tiles into position with the wooden shft
