Re: Beer of the day

I wish I had a beer tonight! :8:

None in and too lazy to go out.

My beer of choice right now is Duvel, anyone tried it?
Small brown bottles of Belgian beer 8.5%!
Not one for glugging, but really really nice.
Doesn't taste like other strong lagers iv'e had.

Re: Beer of the day

Ran out of beer tonight so had to settle for the bottle of gin!!

Re: Beer of the day

The beer of the day is called ''Fire in the hole'' its a chilli beer from my local micro brewery Fallen Angel :26:

Re: Beer of the day

Tonight i will be drinking Game keepers ale....A traditional ale with a bitter twang :8:

Enduro - don't drink English lagers!

The germans/ french / belgians all have purity laws. Something like "reinheitsgebot" in German. Means they can only use water hops malt yeast - no nasties.

Take it from me, (Interbrew used to be a customer of mine) that stuff like Stella is brewed using the proper mash from Belgium but then with crappy English mains water and is chemically "sped" through the brewing process - profit over quality - aint that the English way?!

Stick to imported beers and there will be NO chemicals and fewer headaches!

BTW - san miguel /Carlsberg/ fosters / stella / and a lot of "foreign" beers are actually brewed here. Check carefully that they are imported.

(edit - I am a beer snob!)

I luv the black Sheep ale, especially when your drinking it in Masham or Kettlewell in the yorkshire dales. Drinking in the local weatherspoons the other night with our kid and got smashed on 5 pints of "Roaring Meg". Awsome gear. Normally drink the Abbots ale.:8:

oh i love a drop of abott😛arty: well i love all ales!! happy easter everyone. working friday and prob monday gutted

Tonight i well manly be drinking Fiddlers elbow. Its a wonderfully refreshing beer brewed with wheat , malt. It has an earthy hop aroma balanced by juice malt, and a tart citric fruit flavour and a long quenching hoppy finish and its brewed by the wychwood brewery in oxford.:8:

Just opened a bottle of Artisan Brasseur - some cheap French stuff the missus picked up from a pikey supermarket. Tastes alright but I think I'd rather be drinking a Hobgoblin or similar.

Today I'm drinking Tangle Foot from the Badger brewery. :8:
A premium traditional ale that is surprisingly light in colour with a smooth taste and crisp finish.

Tonight i will mainly be drinking Fursty Ferret, a well balanced, crisp premium ale with a malty palate and a noticeable hoppy aroma. :8:

mostly french merlot grenache whatever that means!! taking it easy as big job on tomorrow, changing one cracked tile in a bathroom, tough at the top.

Tonight i will be drinking HOBGOBLIN, brewed with roasted malts for a well balanced, rich smooth taste, a beer full of mischievous character...:8:
