Toughbuild kneepads

Well my Toughbuild kneepads that I paid £70 have given up on me ,one has split in half after six months, think they should change the name of them.Oh well back to finding a decent pair, which over the years I have never come across a good pair ,the only ones that stood the battering was the old NCB Kneepads.

My straps come off mine after 3 days but got to be fair probably the best knee pads I've bought shame the quality isn't there.

To be honest I thought that the outer shell should be more flexable they was comfortable but really you would expect them to last for that money,I have lost count over the years of how many pairs of pads I've been thru,one day I will find a pair that will suit me.

I got Snickers insert pads. best I had, better than redbacks, dewalts or cheap ones from screwfix.

Redbacks for me. Still chunky with no indents. Must have had them a year now. Been through the wash dozens of times.

Redbacks with a pair of braces to keep the trousers up (and the pads remain at knee height every time I kneel).

Been using redbacks for 2 years and have had no problems with my knees since using them. Suffered from bone fractures in knee 30 years ago so always suffered from swellings if tiling floors - but touch wood no problems since using redbacks.

ive had to get the sowing kit out once on the stitching (been used nearly every day for nearly 2 years)but the gel is still keeping my knees comfy.Ive bought the redbacks and the alpros but cant justify putting the rubis in the bin ,whilst theyre still holding on

Here is the Toughbuild kneepad about six months old which I got from Tradetiler,I know its a bit grubby could not be bothered to clean it after it went, definitely not worth the money,It says hard wearing shatter resistant plastic,lol.

To be fair my pads are looking pretty messy too. Only pair of pads that are still clean are my redbacks.

Just ordered a pair of Dewalts I wonder how long they will last got redbacks can not get on with them.

Snickers Floor layers strides with 9118 knee pads. Not cheap but they are the best Ive ever had by a long way.

If alpro could make a pair of pads that you could insert into a set of work trousers then I'd buy them, but as for those other ones they just don't sit right on my knee , and the straps don't last !

It would be nice for a pro to design a good pair of pads ,I have used a lot of different pads over the years and have never come across a pair that are good and last ,the only ones was what I used to get of the local miners they was very robust,but cannot get them down my way now all the pits have shut.
