threshold bars?

hi all,
iwas in the tile shop today and was speaking with another local tiler and we got on to the subject of threshold bars when tiling floors.
i always provide and fit a threshold bar of some description to finish off the floor to the adjoining flooring. he says he never does and i'm stupid for doing so.
am i just going that little bit further to please the customer or is he just lazy?:lol:

I think he just being lazy, as i always fit them too.

I fit them if there is another surface to fit to but if its a new build without carpet or any other floor covering then only if asked.

always finish the job properly with a trim of sorts.more profit!and trim all doors to fit new floor height- 1st free , 2 or more extra charge unless customer wants to do it themselves.:8:

Yeah,for sure,part of the job,see it through to the end,if they get another flooring guy in there to do the threshold he's likely just gonna pick your work apart cause he didn't do the tile,see your job through to the end,leave the customer with a smile and a handshake,cheers Mike

On this bathroom floor there was a problem with multiple materials.

Let me tell you what you are looking at.

1) The surface above is the tiled bathroom floor.
2) The material to your left is a coconut foot wiping mat by a door
3) The material to the right is hall carpet

There was no easy compromise because the coconut mat came up quite high. There is a spacer bar betweeon the carpet and coconut mat in gold.

In this instance it was decided not to use a bar.
