amazing tiling
----
tiling nirvana - dream home tiling (evocative) - evoke tiling
something that gives a strong emotional reaction (in a nice way obviously).
----
concept tiling rather than concept ceramics would be better then it isnt limited to purely ceramics - which you might not want to specialise in.

reptile is good - a logo designer could work wonders with that - would be memorable - how many other people would have a lizard attached to their van?

REPTILE

just go with your name mate..you could be thinkin tooooo much and it will batter yer head

i like versatiler and reptiler, i had thought of calling myself Plum tiling and putting a big plum on the side of the van!!! thought it would stand out but then thought i would just look like a big plum!!!!

I was thinking a month or so ago about names I could go under if I was to ever set up full time.
I could not think of anything so I asked my son (15) because youngsters and teenagers have more inventive minds and after 5 mins he come back to me with a name that I thought would work and was going to sit on it. My son who is doing graphic design even took the logo of the name it derives and mocked it up for me below, until I read this thread and checked the name on National Business Register posted within this thread, I just seen the name has already been taken as a .com & .co.uk for a tiling company ffs.

I'll still go with it, but what do you guys reckon about the logo, do you think it would infringe on copyright????

The name is probably fine Jimmy but yes I do think you would have a problem with copyright for the logo. Change the colour of the X maybe to get around it or even the style of the X.

Grumpy

REPTILE

A guy in my area has a big Iguana on the side of his van, I think he's a plumber

What about..................... Tiler With A Trowel?? Wouldnt use the initials though Tysfoot!! - Lol

i like what dan says about the use of a local landmark etc

i live in argyll by the river clyde so was thinking of using that in my name

maybe ATS - Argyll Tiing Specialists or CT - Clydeside Tilers and so on

what you all think! sorry if im takin over the thread

great idea, but i would wait for the specialists part of name and get some experience first,as you dont want to feel under pressure when starting out as the name might do this, just my opinion.

Yeah i guess the specialst bit sounds a bit cocky too

dont wanna turn up and make them to disapointed when they see the end result!!!!

Or............................. Plywall Tiling Services (PTS)

I live in Dundee which is called "The City of Discovery" after the boat that sailed to the Antarctic with Captain Scott. (the boat still sits in the quay) so I'm calling my business:

Discovery Tiling Solutions

I came up with my mates name for his landscaping business,he wanted something to set him apart from the rest of other gardeners and either make people think about or remember.
I came up with a list for him to think about and when I next saw him he had one of my suggestions signwritten on his van. There was one name I put on the list which I only did for a laugh and thats the one he choose, what was it you ask...
'Uphill Gardener!':whatchutalkingabout I'm being deadly serious,I didn't know whether to laugh or cry.Lets just say he's had a mixed reception from it.
