SLC mixing bucket and dispenser.

Seen this a few times on different sites, thinking of making one for next full house slc pour I’ll have again in a few months time. Anybody got one, bought one, made one? Any advice appreciated. Take it you mix about 3 bags at a time to fill it?

Maybe get him to mix then pour in, mix another etc till full

No. Isn't there a plumber on here you can ask?...

Looks like you'd want to fill the bottom of the bin up to the bottom of the pipe though or you'll have half a bag of SLC left in it, unless you can tip it up of course.

A quick Google, that sort of fitting with a valve ( I'd use one that can be dismantled for cleaning) in the pipe.

Good call, so boss 60 to 50, waste 50 to 40, waste 40 to 32? So that it slows the flow down?

When i built my house we had a dry liner who would knock 3 bags of dry wall adhesive in a oj barrel no problems

I've done 5 bag mixes in bins easily. Pouring out of the bin was the difficult bit!

The issue I can see using this bin is that the aggregate in the SLC will all sit at the bottom and not be distributed evenly across the floor.

Won't be much use on UFH or foam core boards either.

What levelling are you using , I only ask as I find ultra level it 1 bad for aggregate sinking .

Mapei Ultraplan Renovation Screed. My favourite and most trusted SLC, but if left for more than a couple of minutes unmixed it can settle

Whatever you mix in needs to have a flat base too
