hi gents,

Sigma cutters seem to be harder to get hold of than rubi, any reasons for that? I have sigma cutters and find them superb, would like to get a new wet cutter any suggestions for sigma stockists?

thanks

ted

Try Diatech in Perth,
They do some good deals on Sigma cutters, but pretty sure it's only every so often they do deals on the wet saws.
No webiste fr them though.

Aslo look up the "Siri" wet saws, the look VERY like the Sigma ones.

Cosmo ceramics in Glasgow mate.....sure they'd do a courier service,or try online.....

Um, isn't Perth in Scotland? Tedley's location says Wales

If you're having trouble finding stockists close to you, do a search on the internet. Ebay is a good bet. Saw this as well when I did a quick search.

Hi Ted,
i have the Diatech brochure in front of me,got it this week.
good deals on sigma dry cutters, they have all the wet cutters with 25% off the marked prices ! their prices are better than amoroc as far as i can see.

Thx hillhead good to know mate, did you ring them up for a brochure?

ted
I did Ted, 01738621155,they sent it out quick and then rang me to see if i got it.
I have 3 great sigmas,the 3B,3D and the 10M water saw,
i'd like a small cutter and need a new washboy, they have the raimondi washboy at £35+v,not bad but my current broken handled one is a raimondi and the tray sits too high in it so i want a Karl Dahm or Bal one !!
debating whether to buy a small cutter from them(2G at £85+v) or go for a montolit push cutter for a change !! lol.Diatech are ringing me tomorrow again.

Thx joe il give em a ring tomor. I have a 4A which is class on porcelain, a smaller one that cuts 300mm and a wet cutter not sure of the model as its over 15 year old but still going strong but id like a new one, was looking at the rubi DW250. But having been brought up with sigma id like to have a look at the new models know they aint cheap tho!

Take a good look at their sigma 3C cutter, same length as yours but better angles lock in etc,i have the 3B which is ace,my main cutter.
if you see a water saw you want don't be afraid to ring them and offer about 44% of the list price because i know thats the sort of price drop they are shifting the dry cutters at,haggle cause you have the money remember,

can anyone give a rundown on what to buy ie:klick klock push or pull.
i want the 73cm and maybe there smallest for splashbacks.
how well do the wheels last should i get a few when buying the cutter.
should i bother with the small cutter as my ts30 20 odd years old does fine.
it seems to me to be the bigger tiles rubi cant cope with and the plus range is worse than the standard range.
ive just had enough of rubi, the plate on the tx just dont seem to cut it no more,no pun intended.

If the TS30 is doing the job theres no point replacing it. Its light and manageable.
The wheels on Sigmas last so long you will never moan about buying a new one. I have had my Sigma for 6 years and i am on the 3rd or 4th wheel. Mine gets used lots too.

The KlickKlock handle is great for harder tiles, you get more purchase with it, both in scoring and breaking.
It takes a bigger wheel than the standard pull handle too, 15mm IIRC.
The wheels don't seem to last as long as the pull handle ones, probably because you are, or can, put that bit more pressure on it.
But they still last longer than Rubi wheels, IMO.
Also if you are used to the push movement of the Rubi's, the KlickKlock will be easier to get used to for you.

the wheel in my 3B has been in near a year now no probs, cuts 5-6 days every week !!! must change it,lol.
Waiting on a nice little delivery too- montolit 43PB,push cutter for a change,it'll do my small jobs i hope.Oh and also its a Limited Edition Model !!!!!!!!!! painted in the Ducati colours with a free porcelain grinding disc and metric tape measure in the box.hehe.Quicksplit.
