hi all am laying porcelain tiles today,using a felt pen I noticed the pen would not come off the tile supplier said i should use a stone sealer before grouting to give the tiles more protection ,I have never come across this before these are top quality tiles,I thought porcelain was not porus thanks

It isn't that porous.. it is the surface capillaries that hold stains.. is it polished or through bodied porcelain.?

Then you need a specific penetrating sealer designed for polished surfaces ... LTP MPG sealer is a good one.. The sealing of this type of tile is just to aid in the maintenance of them..
