This programme can make a grown man blubber like a baby, when you see the mess some people live in it makes you feel very humble. I know we can all pick faults with some of the fixing methods but they are a bunch of good guys helping real people, the one tonight was especially good. If they ever come to Crewe or Nantwich they will get my help.

goodlad!

When was this on? I sorted a screeding job down near Cardiff for DIY SOS few weeks ago.

I saw it too Dom. I dread to think how much money they had to spend to bring that house up to scratch. And I will also be there helping if DIY SOS arrive in our area.

I had to give the letting agent of the property nextdoor an earbashing yesterday for letting that house fall into disrepair after the previous tenants did a bunk without paying the rent. I at least have permission from the landlord to go on to the property to clean up (already did the back garden), mow the lawns (did it before getting permission :lol🙂 and to start sanding back and painting the windows, doors and fascias.

My point is what the programme brings to people, forget the presenter guys, its a good thing that they do for ordinary people like me and you. A single mother or father with children that live in a dump for no good reason? As I said if they want help in my region they will get it buck shee.

think we would all give some time for free to help these mums end kids have a better life!! all the guy and girls on there would do ther bit to help if called on .just to put a smile on the kids face is worth every penny.:hurray:

Nice words Paul.

If I had some time spare I would willingly donate it, weekends or otherwise. It would be great if I got a chance to have a 2 sec promo on TV too .

I watched it and yes it was emotional. However, being a cynic most of those people were on their for the ideal of being on tv.

We all have houses or people around us that could do with jobs doing but were not all round there offering to do it for nothing. (Except maybe Wrighttiler)

Take the cameras and the idea of being on TV away and then it dies on its backside im afraid.

As for the promo of tv it didnt work when i did it. None of us got any work out of it, nor my friends who did a different programme in my home town.

Thats below the belt Mark and to the people that thanked it, I spoke with Liz via pm's, ask her.

I think what Mark was saying is that it's all too easy to say on here that we would do it, but another actually doing it! Not saying the people who have said as such don't mean it, don't get me wrong.

I'd love to do something like that but can't as i've got a business to run, I sometimes might do a little job for free for an old dear but I can't do that for everybody I feel sorry for. I'm much more inclined to get involved with community projects than helping out individuals

i tiled a OAP's bathroom for nowt she never nad two pennies to rub together . no cams or celbs there just a old lady that needed help from some of her neigbours.
we are not all doing that for "fame and glory." all we got out of it was a warm feeling inside when the lady saw her new bathroom .!!:hurray:

From the goodnes of your heart...and not for fame...Im sure many of you have done many little worth while things for people and no-one maybe knows to this day what youve done,But YOU alone!...thats a beautiful feeling untainted with any accusation as you needed no-one to applaud you, doing the deed in itselfs was the reward..good Karma:thumbsup:

Your already on your way to good Karma PJC after the court case the other day

Sorry to hear that Pete, being stuck at home can be really boring. Lucky for me i have to nippers to keep me on my toes at the moment and a large bungalow without a roof to keep my evening and weekends free from boredom.

Hope things turn around for you
