Kerakoll adhesives and grouts

Tried the white Kerakoll H40 no limits adhesive today on floors, part mosaic wet area and part 600x300 dry area. Very easy to mix up, very creamy, and mixed till formed peaks which held shape. Installed mosaics first, 4mm serration paper backed mosaic, once mosaic pressed into adhesive with rubber trowel they stayed where I placed sheets and adhesive not coming thru joints, but still easy to straighten up joints with my little olive leaf trowel. Next 600x300 porcelain with 10mm serration, trowelled all the same way and back of tiles buttered. Very easy to serrate and spread, can definitely tell you get more square meterage per bag. Took up couple of tiles, completely covered and wet. Also tiles don't move about, and adhesive lasted all day. Very impressed really!

I find a quick stir every so often is all that it needs. I've never had a problem with the white going off too quickly, maybe you just work slowly Antonio😉

Shrinkage isn't something I've ever had a problem with. I've used some left over to fill holes left from aircon removal and it hasn't shrunk back so I can't see it happening in "normal" use.

Do you think you would have noticed 1-2mm in shrinkage Paul?

Remember to resident in spain. Country of lazy. Ahah
I still insist, maybe you did not understand
what I wrote. ( I do not understand 🙂 ).
Paul, should know now after so many years
that the Spanish are famous for being the greatest workers
in europe. 😉
paul, it saves because it is a Spanish half.
Otherwise he was also in the lazy club.
Am I saying the paul truth?
or are just the ones I know I?
Sorry paul, ahahh

And what about what Marc is saying about shrinkage Antonio? Have you experienced this?

If I am not mistaken, on the bag it is written:
8 liters of water for thin porcelain
And 7 for normal tiles.
to ensure complete coverage.
The retreat I would not know what to say,
I laid the 3mm thick with mesh,
And I did not see anything.
1/2 mm withdrawal seem many,
1/2 mm but how thick of adhesive?

Unfortunately my labourer has just gone back to the UK for 3 months...

Tried a few little tests last week to see if there is any problem with shrinkage regarding Kerakoll H40 no limits white, even with build up of 20mm under 600x300x12mm porcelain (test only) with a 2mm joint down the 600mm length left and checked all week. Joint stayed exactly 2mm no more no less. Height kept exact. Mixed adhesive to exact spec and never added more water again. Sub base was 1 onto concrete, 1 onto cement backer board and 1 onto Wedi board.
Got to say really is a good all round adhesive, lovely to work with and will be my preferred adhesive now!
