any advice re bad tiling job would be appreciated

ive sent 1 more pic infront of the loo, god knows what she was going to do with that , you can add if you want. i will keep you informed if it helps anyone else then thats good. im worried about my underfloor heating now

the adhesive said it was suitable for underfloor heating and the electricians said that was ok, so if its not working god knows who i will blame but clearly they will blame each other

one more pic

thx, not sure how she was going to do floor around this cos shes tiled to about 1/2 ins away from loo so i suspect was going to have a huge thick grout around loo area which would have looked horrendous

its 18 mm wbp exterior plywood 8 x 4 sheets thats what i was told to get from the builders merchants when i rang and explained what i needed it for

I would take toilet and vanity unit out and then I would tile. No silly cuts, easier and quicker.

she clearly has no idea what shes doing, i dont know anything about tiling so i put my trust in her, it was only when i was sat in bath on thurs and looked up at tiles i noticed so many mistakes around the bath, chipped tile, out of alignment tiles etc, then i got picky , and ive had a few comments about what a bad job thats been done from family and friends that alarm bells starting ringing

just seen her 'in the media' page.

There is a copy of her skills certificate but no tiling one unless this is covered in the plastering course. I think she needs to take a

My brother used to live in Banbury. Had a thatched cottage there, nice place.

shes not from there, shes just moved to the area, not sure from where. the photo of the metro tiles shes done in the kitchen looks fine to me, but shes really made a hash bash mess of mine

Truly awful work there (and the 18mm wbp ply DOES look like OSB board to me).

Problem is when these things go legal you would without doubt win, but then what?
She has a CCJ and has to pay you £10 a month for ever?

The only successful case I've come across was a guy who used the legal cover on his home insurance policy to successfully sue a bad tiler. It took two years but he managed to get his money back in one hit - the insurers realised it would take too long so THEY paid him out.
I got the job after doing an initial report for the insurer.

And I thought it was my eyes....

thats a possibility i could check on, but they are dealing with removal company that damaged a lot of my furniture too at the mo, and hes with same ins as me so they are looking at claiming off him as hes also denying it ive had a right nightmare of a time recently , im so honest too and get taken advantage of, its no fair :-(

ive just got that info re flooring off my receipt no idea what OSB board means, it says 18mm bb/cc exterior wbp plywood, what ever that means

thx for mentioning that every bit of information might help me

can someone plz tell me are the small cuts at the sides of my walls and top near ceiling correct way to tile , ive been told by a friend its not but i dont know myself although it doesnt look right

The ones at the side are a never never, good setting out should alleviate at the initial start of the job.

ok thx, ive got them all around my room from the entrance to around the bath which are the thinnest and look ridiculous grr , also told the ones at the top are not right either and shes tiled from the floor upwards

as far as i know yes and from what my ex said when he saw it today, he said shes started from full tile at the bottom and at the side hence wall got cuts at end and top

maybe she had to move due to dom from cowboy builders chasing her too often lol

above the bath is where the main problem is shes completely done that wall wrong compared to the others as in tiled 3/4 way along and not 1/2 to get brick affect, ive also noticed all the grout areas are completely different widths and some narrower 1 end of tile to the other on the same tile, i hadnt even looked at that grr another thing not right

good old dom lol he amuses me !!!

ill ring trading standards in the morning, im going to bed but dont think ill sleep with this all on my mind

shes only 27 so i think shes just started out doing this and forgot to mention to me she wasnt experienced in tiling , i just decided to give her a go liked idea of a woman working in my house for a change thought she would be neater and cleaner etc lol, back fired big time

There are few very good female tilers who you would not categorize in the same league as the work of your bathroom.
