new paddle mixer, anybody used one of these?

Funny the plasterer i was working with in devon last week had the same we used it for most of the work but when i got one of my REFINA 1800w out we never see it again and the guy wanted to know where to get-one like mine lol

Another vote here for the evolution. I've had mine for about 4/5 years, and it's still going strong, although it's just starting to grind a little.. Best thing about it is the variable speed. Lots of mixers out there don't have this!?!

Never changed the brushes on mine but had a couple of triggers to replace that must over 13 years at least I've owned my Refina....

bought one of these mixing drills in july from ffx tools and its mixed 1000s of metres, smelt a burning smell coming from it once or twice but think i had the bucket too stiff with not enough water in it. still goin 100% at the min. some size of paddle comes with it!

well, it didn't last long.......was mixing up some grout on tuesday and got distracted, the paddle turned into a maypole with the cord wrapped round it, snapped the cord. Mrs Doug took it to work for sparky lecturer to re-cord it, tried it today and it was making noises like a horse that had been eating fresh grass! So nipped down to lakeland supplies and had to get another:mad2:

So you wrecked it then took it back ,! and they gave you another lol ( B£$%^y cheek ) fair play to ya !!.........

Bought mine from lidl for £35 ... No changing bushes for me. When it breaks chuck I and buy another. 12 months old so far. Mixed screeds, mortar, render, skim plaster, enveloping compound and tile adhesive with it. All easy.....

See now if you were not a cumbrian tight *** , you would have bought a decent one to start with. 🙂
