Well all fine today... the couple are great so far and John the owner of the house actually knows some of my friends and relations on the wifes side.. so far so good. 🙂

There was some trouble about a year ago at a workingmen's club around my way. A family used it for a bit of a do, not sure what the occasion was (was nowt to do with me, I just know of it all going on), dozens of pikeys turned up within a hour or so of each other, always in small groups, shouting at the smokers outside saying 'get him out'. Nobody knew what was going on in there but the next day when people pieced all the random shouting together (many left once that happened on the night and didn't go back in - probably worried about whoever was meant to be inside, who knows) they worked out that a pikey that had been put away a couple of years ago for beating up a lad badly, who was in there that night and something to do with the family who had the do.
Apparently they had waited some time for things to cool down, and until a time they knew a fair amount of the family was there at the same time. Not sure what they wanted to do but whatever went wrong as to why they didn't was thankful. Was in the local rag who also apparently got threatened afterwards. Not sure how true that bit is though nobody seemed to prove it in any way, always just heard it.
On that occasion the police did come but also basically said there's nothing they can do without reg plates, some descriptions, people need to be sober to give statements tomorrow (which nobody did for obvious reasons) etc etc. At least they went though.
Nasty people and the thing is with 'em, 'John' and 'Pete' might be brothers, and you hit john, pete gives you a clout. They leave it at that. But once a few know who you are, it's well out of Pete and Johns hands, they have a weird 'back each other up' thing going on whether they know each other or not. If they're pikeys, they take one problem on as a huge group and that's when it gets nasty far too easy.
My guess is with Endo that the Dad that visited was one of the respected ones within a bunch as not many listen to 'em no matter how much Paddy from BB says he runs his site. lol

So.. that is 35 mtrs of marmox and UFH installed and then mapei fibre slc.. and then tiled and grouted... all in 4.5 days... no wonder i got back ache ..
Oh and all to hand ball off the wagon.. with help on that though..lol...
I don't have my son with me now.. so you forget about the donkey work.. 🙂🙂
