They can still do a cad drawing for you at a cost, I used this service once but wasn’t to pleased with it, wasn’t symmetrical at all the edges. So I do all my own drawings and layout

No just two sheets of paper taped together

so it is an overlay then...... and by doing this you can interchange the designs....it is a good thing.

No it’s a one off drawing, I do one for every job I do

I just get the customer to pick the field and border. I've had a original style cad before and they're pointless imo

Yes the customer picks field and border, but I still do drawing so I can show them how it will look and so I know where to start and finish. Also so I can count how many individual tiles they need

I don't think the drawings do the jobs justice. I imagine you triple check your measurements on the floor anyway? The drawings are a waste of time I think but each to their own and I imagine some customers like the effort

Yes I do check measurements on floor, and customers do like to see layout. Also I can charge for drawing

Wow, awesome drawings. How do you manage this? Do you scale it down with a ruler etc

Yes I workout the size of the tiles and how many fit best in the area allowing for the boarder. Any discrepancies are taken up by the tile against the wall

I am looking at getting it done down my drive way and running through my hall and into the kitchen. There are all kinds of door recesses to figure out how to work so seeing this is inspiring.
